Menu/Calendar/Schedule Stuff:

A new month is upon us! And we’ve got 2 weeks - instead of just 1 - open ahead for pre-ordering online πŸŽ‰ This is because Mother’s Day [Sun 5/12] and Tufts Graduation [Sun 5/19] are MEGA-BUSY…like Mother’s Day wins every year for the most bagels we do in one day. Maybe order now and sleep better knowing your important breakfasts are all set.

New Special is JalapeΓ±o Cheddar! This is a jalapeΓ±o bagel [peppers IN the dough #zoolanderstyle] with a bunch of cheddar melted on top. They are fantastic and always Very Popular. Please note they contain dairy, cost 25Β’ more, and we can’t toast them bc we like our shop as it is and not on fire [which happens if we put cheese in our conveyer toaster].

Please take care with the times/dates on your order since we have so many open πŸ™ - thank you! Also the check out page is being weirder than normal lately, especially for ApplePay, so make sure you get a confirmation screen/email when you submit your order [sorry….]. And heads-up that when we have more than a week available, sometimes ordering for a future day of the week is weird when we’re open that day. Like ordering for next Fri 5/9 might be glitchy from 7-11:30 tomorrow Fri 5/2…it’s a Toast thing, don’t ask πŸ˜‚πŸ« πŸ˜Ž

Early Date FYIs: we’ll be at West Medford Open Studios on Sat 6/22 - with bagels and pizza and cold drinks. It’s always a party! And our Summer Break will be Mon 7/1 to Thu 7/18. Sounds like an eternity [side note: sounds freaking AWESOME to me right about now, who’s with me??? The 2020s are NON-STOP, wow], but it’s actually just 2 weekends.

Reminder that we have a bunch of drinks - Speedwell Coffee [hot and iced], Boston Chai Party Chai [hot and iced] and Mem Tea [hot hot hot!], as well as oj and apple juice. We’ll be adding bottled iced tea soon! Soon is as soon as I focus and add it to the menu, sorry [an MP, not a YP].

And we’re doing Pizza Bagels [Cheese, Pepperoni, and Vegan] and that cheesecake [it’s gluten-free!] and our chocolate chip cookies [IYKYK] all 3 days every weekend! Turn that cute little bagel brunch into a Full Party in one stop - YES!

It’s now ~40 square feet inside instead of 15? Baby Steps βœ…

More Words:

We made it a little more spacious inside! This is good now and will be great when it’s raining, wintry mixing, snowing, etc. Def can fit like 5-6 people waiting vs the 1.5 previously. Still working out some bumps and improving general wayfinding. People keep wandering into our staging area to wait for their food and it’s cool but confusing, so consider it a work-in-progress.

Related: some folks still don’t know that you can order in person at the shop during our business hours. You totally can! It’s just a little chaotic and we run out of stuff sometimes. Ordering online ahead may feel boring/new/weird, but you get what you want. Choose your own adventure!

Those Mom stickers pictured earlier in this dissertation are back for Mother’s Day! They are delightful - and free! Pop one on your order here Also, we generally have a bunch of other stickers at the door or if you ask [like birthdays: I got a gazillion birthday stickers when we opened bc I thought we’d have adorable birthday parties at the shop LOLOLOLOL. That’s not happening, but the stickers are still here and cute, so ask for them!]

OMFG Will It Ever End:

That time of year where you might need a fun little gift for a graduation, shower, wedding, school/teacher event, retirement, birthday, prom, moving, WHATEVER. We have tees [adult and kid], hoodies, and gift cards [virtual and plastic]. 

And along that line: for bigger party/catering orders or if you want fancy trays etc, please email us [ideally a week or 2 in advance, thank you/xoxoxox].

As always, please hit us up if your order is incomplete or wrong so we can correct it! I made 5 mistakes myself last weekend [27 y.o. me Would.Be.Horrified], it’s a journey. In fairness, we’re doing about 400 orders every Saturday and Sunday lately [bc you all are FANTASTIC 🀩 ] so stuff does happen. But all the more reason for you to let us know where our gaps are so we can get better and better!

And my perpetual nag: please drive nicely when visiting us: don’t u-turn on West, pull over on Winthrop, or block traffic [or the crosswalk or our neighbors’ driveways]. Thank you, thank you β™₯️

Email is the best way to reach us overall, especially if you have a question / order change all week. We can’t always check email when we’re open so during our open/pick up hours, texting 617-333-8233 works too. We try to get to questions - how busy we are, what we have left, etc - but can’t always do it. We can NOT take orders over text - it turns messy fast.

We can’t answer calls and do not actively monitor that # outside of pick up times Fri-Sat-Sun. Instagram DMs, Facebook messages, comments, etc. are we see β€˜em when we see β€˜em.
